There have been many monsters to grace the silver screen, but of all of them there is only one king; well two kings if you count the colossal ape. For years Godzilla has played a big role in pop culture as the atomic lizard has had over 30 films to his name. The icon made his return to states in the 2014 film, Godzilla, and the blockbuster found some success during to its run in theaters. It took a bit but the sequel to that film has found its way to theaters as the monstrous reptile returns in the massive blockbuster Godzilla: King of the Monsters. Directed by Michael Dougherty King of the Monsters brings a titanic showdown to the big screen as the movie features some of the series’ most prominent kaijus. Being a Godzilla fan I was eager to see the new film and wondered just what would be instore for this blockbuster; and in this Film Adventurer’s opinion Godzilla King of the Monsters is a monster movie through and through.
